Sherry Towfighian
Assistant Professor

Dr. Towfighian received her PhD degree from the University of Waterloo, Canada in 2011. She joined the Mechanical Engineering department at Binghamton University in Fall 2013. She has published 14 international journal and conference papers and has received NSERC doctoral scholarship and MITACS Postdoctoral fellowships. Her research interest is Micro-electro-mechanical systems and their applications in medical imaging devices. She is also interested in energy harvesting from mechanical vibration for biomedical applications.

Mehmet has received his BS degree from Yildiz Technical University in Turkey. He is currently receiving scholarship from Turkish Military Academy. His research interest is micro-actuators for bi-axial rotations and out of plane dispalcement for optical interferometry applications.

Wathiq earned his bachelor's degree in Biosystme Engineering in 2006 from Jordan University of Science and Technology. He got his Masters' degree from binghamton University in 2013 and currently working on his PhD reserach focused on energy hravesting from nonlinear mechanical vibrations.

Wei obtained his BS and MS degree from the University of Science and Technology at Beijing in 2011 and 2014, respectively. He is currently working on his PhD degree and is developing nonlinear resonators for energy harvesting from random input vibrations.

Meysam has received his MS degree in Mechanical Engineering from Sharif University of Technology at Tehran, Iran in 2013. He joined the lab in September 2015. He is working towards his PhD and his research is focused on dynamics and vibration of MEMS transducers.
