  Biography

Dr. Khasawneh is an Associate Professor in the Department of Systems Science & Industrial Engineering at the State University of New York at Binghamton. He received his Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering from Clemson University, South Carolina, in August 2003, and his B.S. and M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Jordan University of Science and Technology, Jordan, in 1998 and 2000, respectively.

Dr. Khasawneh's research, which is focused on Modeling and Performance Assessment of Humans in Complex and Dynamic Systems, has an interdisciplinary emphasis that links Human Factors in Manufacturing, Quality and Simulation. In particular, his research evaluates the impact of human, automated, and hybrid inspection systems on inspection quality and process control. He is a member of the Institute of Industrial Engineers (IIE), the Human Factors and Ergonomics (HFES), and the American Society for Quality (ASQ).

Dr. Khasawneh also directs research in the Human Factors and Ergonomics Research Laboratory (HFERL), a focal point for human factors engineering and ergonomics research and education at the State University of New York at Binghamton.
